Varden Kenzei was born to Elenora Kenzei, a fighter, near Agropolis. His father is Erin Tiberius, King of the Elves of Lun Sylva. They met when Tiberius as visiting Agropolis and Elenora served as his bodyguard. They fell in love and accidentally concieved Varden.
Court politics prevented the two from marrying, so the druids of Pan Arboria took in the unwed mother and her bastard child. Varden lived with the druids while his mother adventured. They educated him as a druid.
