The Centaur high-priest/mage teleports Varden Erin Kenzei, Torlon, and Bartholemuel to the extinct volcano in the center of Bugbear Desert.

Entering the volcano, they meet Elmore, the human leader of the Bugbears. Torlon immediately throws a web on Elmore, which Elmore, much to Torlon's surprise, easily rips through. Elmore then retaliates with a web of his own, incapacitating Torlon.

Varden steps forward to attack Elmore and is rendered unconcious by a lightning bolt.

Elmore then assume his true form of a blue dragon and flies up the shaft, then returns to attack the adventurers. Barthomuel then assumes his true form and the two dragons fly up out of the volcano, where they fight till both are dead.
