Astyanyx Undyantara, Varden Erin Kenzai, Torlon, Nova, Bartholemuel, and Troc Namgew arrive in Skoal.

Varden went to the inn to make reservations, while the rest went to the tavern where Nova and Torlon started asking about Orin. They are promptly rendered unconcious by several theives who take them to the guildhouse, where Orin, Astyanyx, and Varden explain to them the need for discretion when speaking of the leader of the thieves guild.

The group reunites with Bartholemuel and Namgew, heads toward the stables. On the way there, several members are recognized by Xhandoxhan, who is in town having a sword made. Varden explains the party's mission and Xhandoxhan agrees to take them to the horde.

Turning in for the night, Nova and Namgew each take their own rooms, while Torlon, Astyanyx, Varden, and Bartholemuel take a room together. In the still of the night, the group are awakened by a ruckus in Namgew's room. Bursting into his room, they find him battling a wereboar, which the quickly kill. When the wereboar returns to its human form of Orin, the group skips town with the body.
