Astyanyx Undyantara, Sir Darien Hartwhyte II, Carlyle Ivanhoe, Torlon, Morwwen, Nova, Bekka, Shadoweaver, and Xhandoxhan, encounter a purple worm.

The party slays the purple worm, but not before it eats the oxen drawing the wagon and kills Bekka.

Carlyle ressurects Bekka with the Crystal of Power, Shadoweaver takes the purple worm's stinger and two of its teeth, while Bekka captures the venom from the stinger.

The party hitches their horses to the wagon and continue on.
