Astyanyx Undyantara, Sir Darien Hartwhyte II, Torlon, Nova, Morwwen, and Shadoweaver come upon a horde of hobgoblins which Darien leads away from the party.

Morwenn leads the rest of the party to the hobgoblin lair where they encounter a manticore. Shadoweaver creates an illusionary avalanche which disorients the manticore long enough for the others to kill it.

Torlon takes the claws and teeth, Morwwen takes it's skin, Astyanyx takes four tail spikes for darts, and Darien puts a tail spike on the end of his lance. Also within the lair they find 7000 gold pieces and 2000 gold pieces which they split.
