Astyanyx Undyantara, Torlon, and Nova from Tar, Varden Erin Kenzai from Panarboria, and Bartholemuel from the Fouchard Mountains arrive in Agropolis to meet with Troc Namgew, Cheif Counsel of the Grand Duchy of Shel.

Namgew explains that Harnx and Shelton had been sacked by Bugbears and that the inhabitants have fled to Footfork and asks the party to help him assemble an army to fight the Bugbear threat.

The group decides to enlist the assistance of the barbarian horde to the north, and while the Bugbear army was busy fighting the barbarians, the party will sneak around the back lines and dispatch the leader.

That night a roc attacks Agropolis. Astyanyx holds a baby pig above his head to lure the roc. As the roc flies down to grab the pig, Nova casts a web spell on it, holding it long enough for Namgew to sever its head. Torlon keeps a vial of its blood.
