On this day in the city of Grantebryce, Tallfellow sorceror Professor Mortimer Tomeogle Ar.D. — currently on sabbatical from Universitas Cantabrignes — did enter the Verdant Wyrm and met the Maurman ranger Major Acwellan Freo — a freelance hentsman formerly of the Queens Scouts.
Therein, the two enountered and defeated a magmin at the Verdant Wyrm, then assisted one Magnus Buchner in the hunting and banishment of another three magmin which had been set loose upon the town.
After following Magnus Buchner to his home, who upon arrival hurriedly packed his few belongings and fled &ddash these two searched the premises and found a sword and shield — which when touched magically animated and attacked &mdash critically injuring the Major.
The Professor ducked behind a desk and hid, whereupon the sword and shield fell to the floor and remained motionless.
The professor then carefully dragged his fallen comrade out to the street and called upon the town guard to carry the Major back to his room at the Verdant Wyrm — after which the Professor re-entered the, house barred the doors, and — carefully avoiding the sword and shield — slept in the bedroom.
