Dvergr
Dwarves are known as dvergr in Dwarvish, and dweorh in Elvish. The human term twerg is tolerated by many dwarves, but some find it highly insulting.
While native to the northern lands of Skenadig, dwarves can be found throughout the known lands. While most dwarven populations prefer mountainous terrain, some can be found in lowlands or even on the seas.
Appearance
Dwarves are usually taller than halflings but shorter than elves, with a stocky build. Males have a base height of 3'9", height modifier of +2d4, base weight of 130 lbs, and weight modifier of ×(2d6) lbs, while females have a base height of 3'7", height modifier of +2d4, base weight of 100 lbs, and weight modifier of ×(2d6) lbs.
Subraces
The Dwarven subraces include the pastoral Skepahirðir, the seafaring Tennemann, and the alpine Hvítur.
